I'm doing a lot of stuff to get the stage ready for a June 10 performance opener. We have been working on the proscenium a lot and it takes a good deal of time since we have to grind off all the liquid nails and T-nails that are left over from last year...it seems like a lot of things last year were let go to crap and the new TD here wants to do things right so it can last longer than just a year. So we've been grinding and sheeting the steel proscenium arch...then grinding and sheeting some more. We also built a couple walls today for the first show:
The Dixie Swim Club.
Its pretty long hours we work 9-6, but we get a good sized lunch break, and we also get a couple other breaks during the day. The sun is hot and the humidity high, I'm sweating like a crook and its still pretty fun. Haven't worked this hard in a while.
The people are pretty awesome here. its cool
